Ferdeaux returned to Heerewaarden in 2020. Renate rehabilitated him after an injury, and she now hopes to begin showing Ferdeaux on the Small Tour this year, in addition to training and showing her young stallions.  We hope that this wonderful combination, seen in photos and videos, leads to a great future.

Ferdeaux' offspring started making a name for themselves in 2020, with several winners in IBOP winners and young horse competitions. Dressage people are talking about how well Ferdeaux offspring develop as they get older, with their strong canters and talent for collection.

2019

Descendants of Ferdeaux have been noticed all year round. During the young horse classes, IBOP and mare tests, Pavo Cup and KWPN Stallion Competition. As a young horse he often does not produce the most spectacular movements, but is very functional and with a strong gallop. We expect that many good horses will come from him in the long term for the big sport.

It was a strong start for our top stallion Ferdeaux and his father Bordeaux. No fewer than 3 offspring of Ferdeaux were selected for the KWPN Performance Test. Lacrosse RS2 pl. San Remo bred and owned by RS2 Dressage de Horst BV designated and Champion Inspection. The 2nd designated stallion was the strong moving Las Vegas mv. Wynton (now KWPN approved) bred by John Deenen and owned by Nico Witte and Paardencentrum de Dalhoeve. His 3rd designated son was Lord Vrijnesse mv. Sandro Hit bred by Sander de Blaauw and owned by Margreet Prosman.

2018
The offspring from Ferdeaux have stood out throughout the year. During the young horse classes, IBOP and mare tests, Pavo Cup and KWPN Stallion Competition. The year ended very successfully at the KWPN pre-selection with five designated sons for the Stallion Inspection in Den Bosch.

2017

• Winner with 72.96% and entry to Jumping Amsterdam
• Winner Light Tour debut with 70.34% in De Mortel
• World Championship Ermelo high classification for 7-year old Dressage horses
• During selection at World Cup Ermelo, highest placed horse in the last round

A super breeding year for Ferdeaux: 2 sons KWPN approved, Jerveaux and Jarville. In addition, mare Jindy National became 6th in the Koninginnenrubriek of the 3-year-old mares.

Ferdeaux made a very good impression with his sons during the first viewing of the KWPN Stallion Show. Of the nine Ferdeaux sons, no fewer than five were invited to the 2nd viewing in Den Bosch. Ferdeaux seems to be strongly inherited and with his sons the canter was almost without exception a strong point. Our stallion Jackpot (mv. Metall) is a real eye-catcher.

2016
Ferdeaux's sports development is nothing short of fantastic. Reserve champion of the Pavo Cup for 5-year-old dressage horses, winner of the stallion competition in Roosendaal and winner of the 2016 KWPN Stallion Inspection Final. But Ferdeaux's real talent lies in his collection. He is already showing that he has a lot of talent for this and we expect a great dressage future for him!

Ferdeaux himself is also very interestingly bred. His mother, the performance mare Part Two, is mother of 4 Prix St. Georges horses and 2 KWPN-approved stallions. Unique breeding achievement by Gerrit and Anne Marie van Esterik.

His grandmother Fabiola, daughter of the dressage sire Zonneglans, is also the mother of Tiptop Mateo who was very successful in the Small Tour at the time.

Official KWPN Research Report 2013:
Ferdeaux is an honest and reliable stallion with a very good attitude. The stallion is very willing to work and is easy to train. The walk is pure, has good scope and has a lot of activity, but could still show more shoulder freedom. The trot is light-footed, with good scope and carriage. The canter has a lot of power, carriage and space. Ferdeaux moves with a lot of flexibility, a lot of self-carriage and balance. Ferdeaux has a lot to a lot of talent as a dressage horse and gives his rider a very good feeling.
