Painted Black
Sold to Morgan Barbançon in 2010
Official press release:
ERP (KNHS) - The 13-year-old stallion I.P.S Painted Black has been sold to the 18-year-old Spanish Junior rider Morgan Barbançon. Painted Black has competed at the highest level in the sport with Anky van Grunsven for many years, with the highlights being winning the World Dressage Masters in Wellington (USA, 2009) and the World Cup qualification Jumping Amterdam (2009). Painted Black, approved as a breeding stallion by KWPN and AES, was owned by I.P.S Horse Group, Joop van Uytert, and Equestrian International BV, and is currently sixth in the FEI world ranking. Anky: "Of course I am sad that I have lost my second top horse, but he will stay in my stable and I will continue to train Morgan. We have agreed that Painted will remain available as a reserve for the Dutch World Cup team for Kentucky".
Lightness, elegance and elasticity!
Painted Black is a son of our chic black Trakehner stallion Gribaldi.
His dam is the Keur mare Litchy who competed in Z-level dressage. Lichty is a daughter of the Olympic Keur dressage stallion Ferro. Grandmother Vrona herself was successful in dressage for many years and was awarded the sport predicate. Several Z & ZZ dressage horses come from this tribe.
